$21-Million North Wing Nears Completion
Fresh paint is going up and new carpet is going down as the $21-million, 38,000-square-foot wing of Van Munching Hall nears completion. The crew is shooting for a finish date in early October. See photo highlights. Read more.

Smith Students Tour Chinese Factories
In the wake of several U.S. recalls involving products made in China, six Smith School students traveled to China in early September to get an up-close look at manufacturing in that country. The students toured four factories including those for Siemens, Mary Kay cosmetics, and Ting Hsin International, China’s largest manufacturer of instant noodles. Full story with video highlights.
