College Park MBA

The full-time College Park MBA program is comprised of two years of academic study. College Park students are expected to graduate from the program within two years by completing a total of 54 credits in the program. Students can take no more than 17 credits per semester, although additional tuition charges will apply to credits above 15. In special situations students can request to take more than their scheduled load by sending a written request to their campus administrator.

Students are given a significant amount of time to develop their elective selections after the completion of the major portion of the core curriculum. This can include use of the Washington Consortium or SAIS agreements, attending courses within other departments, attending courses at off-site campuses (i.e. Washington D.C., Baltimore, Shady Grove).

It is recommended that all College Park students follow the model presented below. For those who wish to alter this model please be aware that all summer courses are part of the Evening and Weekend program and will only be offered to College Park students on a space available basis. Also be aware that College Park students will have to pay the per-credit rate for all courses taken in the summer and in the winter sessions. This will increase the cost of the degree because there is no flat-rate tuition during these terms. Students admitted to the full-time program who take nine to fifteen College Park credits at the graduate Business School will be charged a flat rate of tuition. Business school and university fees will also apply.

Students may switch from a full-time to a part-time course load at the start of any semester after completing the first year core requirement of the full-time College Park program. Students are required to complete all degree requirements in effect at the time of their matriculation in the MBA program, including core, selective and elective
